About Cyber Demon Protocol

This is a creature-collector + resource-management Lite CRPG.

In this game, you contract Cyber Demons, walking a precarious tightrope between risk and reward. Every day at midnight, the demons come to collect their due, demanding your core attributes: Constitution, Sanity, Appearance, Intelligence, Sociality, and Luck—as sacrifices.

In exchange, you harness their forbidden powers to navigate events, break deadlocks, or amass wealth. Every demon brings unique powers, some help humans, while others use plants or animals as conduits. Some trigger only at crime scenes, others manipulate global markets, and a few can tell if a friend is lying...

Furthermore, your choices shape your Anonymity and Morality. These values determine your Alignment, which dictates your harmony with specific Cyber Demons and draws you toward key characters whose fates are intertwined with your own.

Recent Development Progress

6/28 Added a dynamic shimmer effect to certain parts of the demon portraits. Back in the pixel art era when hardware was limited, the SMT series left a deep impression on me by adding a single pixel of flash to the demons' eyes. That's where the inspiration for this came from.

8/8 Finished implementing the demon's active abilities!

Worldview

In the year 2050, the world is plunged into an unprecedented crisis, with the Human Development Index in constant decline. New Sodom is a city-sized island whose citizens call themselves "White-Winged," symbolizing humans with the wings of the Covenant, the sole beacon of hope during the Great Regression.

You are a medical student who recently entered university. By chance, you gained the ability to summon demons—much like the elite figures responsible for the world's current state. Among contractors, some suffer misfortune because of demons, while others use their power to dominate society.

About Demons

Cyber Demons cannot manifest gold coins out of thin air. Instead, they manipulate the flow of events. Essentially, human fate and luck. Humans can only perceive them through electronic devices. They seem to favor those capable of achieving great (or terrible) things.

Lucifuge Rofocale

A demon from the famous grimoire The Grand Grimoire (The Red Dragon), who contracted you through an antique computer. As the Chancellor of Hell, she should possess infinite wealth, yet for some reason, she demands cash from you in exchange for the power to alter the life and death of others. The cost of her mere manifestation was 66 years of your life, meaning your life is already a flickering candle in the wind at the start of the game.
