About Extravalence
After the Great Dissociation shattered the compounds holding the world together, the chemical elements awakened as independent beings.
Carbon comes to in the Organic Canopy, a once-thriving forest now losing its stability. Free radicals tear through weakened bonds, water vanishes from the streams and an ancient metallic guardian is slowly consumed by aggressive rust.
To reach the heart of the forest, Carbon must unite with Hydrogen, Oxygen, Iron and other elemental heroes. Each of them has a distinct personality, combat role, abilities, equipment and path of progression. Their bonds can protect the party, unleash powerful reactions - or make an unstable situation even worse.
Build a Party of Living Elements
Choose a party of three unique heroes who fight and explore together. Control the active leader directly, switch between characters without leaving combat and command the abilities of every party member.
Each element remains an independent character with personal health, resources, upgrades, equipment and a unique role in the story.
Turn Chemical Bonds into Combat Strategies
Every pair of heroes creates a playable bond. Hydrogen and Oxygen can form a restorative reaction. Carbon can reinforce Iron and create a resilient defensive combination. Oxygen can increase Iron’s offensive power - but prolonged exposure may cause dangerous corrosion.
Bonds are not permanent passive bonuses. They react to your actions, evolve during battle and can become helpful, conditional, or harmful.
You do not need to know chemistry to play. Every reaction has a clear gameplay effect, while optional Field Atlas entries explain the scientific idea behind it.
Command the Group
Three heroes are present on the battlefield, control one of them.
Control the party leader in real time
Switch leaders during combat
Set a shared target for the group
Activate every hero’s individual abilities
Interrupt enemies with coordinated attacks
Manage energy, status effects, and unstable reactions
Continue fighting as another hero if the current leader falls
Victory depends on understanding the entire party - not just one powerful character.
Explore a Fractured Elemental World
Travel through interconnected regions shaped by chemical processes. Restore dried waterways, investigate abandoned laboratories, unlock shortcuts, discover catalysts and find records left behind before the Great Dissociation.
The Organic Canopy is only the beginning. Beyond it lie unfamiliar regions, unstable compounds, ancient mechanisms and new elemental heroes waiting to be discovered.
