About Rocket Scrapyard
Turn space junk into rockets
Rocket Scrapyard is a cozy first-person collecting game. Tidy up the scrapyard of a private space company, sort rocket parts into sets on your racks, build your own rocket every evening and watch it launch the next morning.
Collect
Every day a new delivery of discarded rocket parts lands on a clean, high-tech scrapyard. Pick them up into packages – or suck them in with the vacuum – and carry them to the hall. Now and then an exceptional part hides in the scrap and makes its whole set better.
Fill the racks
Five parts of a kind make a complete set and earn XP. Incomplete sets merge on the shelves, worn ones can be sold, and the auto-sell panel clears out the weakest at the end of the day.
Build
In the evening the assembly station lists everything on your racks. Stack engines, fuel tanks, nose cones, fins, boosters, stage separators and parachutes into your own rocket and watch its stats change with every part.
Launch
Every morning your rocket lifts off and the flight plays out: altitude milestones, stage separation, parachutes, failures, the edge of space and – with a flight computer – orbit.
Grow
Spend XP on upgrades: more packages, a vacuum, a courier drone, taller and extra racks, licenses for bigger parts. Take orders from clients – satellites, sample returns, station modules – and turn the yard into a spaceport with a space station of your own.
